NuCalm Matters – The Beginning of a New Chapter

LinkedIn advises that to make the best use of the platform, we should generate interest through conversation rather than basic sales-directed ads.
Personally, I’m not entirely convinced it makes a blind bit of difference — but in the spirit of experimentation, let’s give it a go!
This, therefore, is the first in what I hope will be a series of essays chronicling the start of a new business: NuCalm Matters — www.nucalmatters.com.
The idea is simple enough: to provide my fellow professionals with a practical, science-backed approach to achieving what most of us desperately need but rarely get — a good night’s sleep and a genuine reduction in stress, both personal and professional.
My introduction to NuCalm came by chance. I was asked if I’d like to become an affiliate, so naturally, I tried the Sleep app. From Day 2, I slept like a log — no exaggeration. Gone were the endless nighttime bathroom trips (sometimes up to nine a night!) and the half-effective medication that never quite did the job. It was, in a word, transformative.
Curious, I learned that NuCalm didn’t have a consumer-facing model. Their success had stemmed from B2B partnerships — including hospitals, dental practices, and the military. It had been used in more than two million medical and surgical procedures as a replacement for anesthesia, as well as in programs for veterans, athletes, and other high-stress professionals.
So, there was: an opportunity staring at me in the face. NuCalm worked, it was patented, and yet the average person had never even heard of it.
That was enough for me. I decided to build a model that would bring this remarkable product to the public — to Joe Public, as we used to say — and so the journey began.
What happened next? Well, you’ll just have to follow along to find out.
Sleep well,
Michael
